On Saturday March the 25th I visited this years Euro Model Expo.
The event has changed venue from the quite cramped location in Heiden (Germany) to the Emsland Arena in Lingen (Germany).
After missing the event last year, I was keen to visit this years edition, although the drive was about an hour longer.
But the drive was a very relaxed one, and I arrived in Lingen at about 11.
First impression was a bit of an overwhelmed one. Compared to the previous venue, this one was huge. And I was under the impression that there were a lot of new/additional exhibitors present.
Even so, I never had the feeling that it was very busy (although the 2 parking lots present were quite full, so there must have been a lot of visitors).
Which made for some great conversation with a few modellers present.
One of them was Sascha Müller, who is a great car model builder.
Below are some pictures of his work.
Another modeller I spoke was Marcel Ackle.
He builds fantastic and very realistic dioramas. Watching him at work was really incredible.
Some of his work is shown below.
The quality of the kits on show (both on the stands and the contest table) was very high.
Some inspirational work was present and below you can find a selection of pictures.
More pictures can be found here.
